OPEN SUBMISSION: The Sirens Call – Issue 34 ‘Feel the Fear’ | #Horror @Sirens_Call

For the 34th issue of The Sirens Call eZine, we’re looking for short stories, flash fiction, drabbles, and poetry of horror with no particular twist. We have a few taboos listed below, other than that, feel free to send us quality horror pieces that are worthy of the genre!

We welcome works that are: creepy, sullen, emotive, freaky, humorous, elegant, bizarre… or just flat out scary as hell.

Three basic rules:

  • Your story or prose MUST focus on horror
  • Write the piece well
  • Don’t breach our set-in-stone taboos – NO pedophilia, NO bestiality, and NO descriptive rape scenarios

We don’t need a bigger boat, we need fantastic horror prose. Let’s make this year’s August issue of The Sirens Call eZine worth getting out of the water to read!

Submission Deadline: July 31, 2017

Short story word count: 1,000 – 2,500

Flash fiction word count: 300 – 1,000
