For the 32nd issue of The Sirens Call eZine, we’re looking for stories that highlight the more gruesome side of horror. Be it an imaginary beast that lays waste to a town, human depravity showcased at its worst, or nature seeking vengeance for the wrongs the planet has endured, write a story that is intense and makes the reader cringe while they’re checking to make sure their own door is locked!
We welcome short stories, flash fiction, drabbles, and poetry that fit this month’s theme.
Four basic rules:
- The work MUST contain an element of violence and/or gore along with horror
- Write the piece well
- No stories of child abuse will be accepted
- Don’t breach our set-in-stone taboos – NO pedophilia, NO bestiality, and NO descriptive rape scenarios
Let’s make our thirty-second issue brutally epic while instilling a healthy dose of fear, creeping dread, and respect for a well spun yarn into all who read your words!
