  1. Red Death – took 1st place in the school’s ‘horror’ costume category 🙂

    • How exactly did you pull that off? Not the 1st place part, but the Red Death part 😉

      • Sorry to be answering so late! Basically a Grim Reaper costume, but all red instead of black with plenty of tattered edges. Face all white make-up, with sunken black eyes, bloody lips – we even had my eyebrows brushed up and out with body glue so they stood on end – it was a gruesome addition to the face make-up! Bloody white gloves…. and of course the requisite Scythe. Plus I’m only 5ft tall. Put that all together and it was a great costume! (if it had been a brown robe with black makeup, I could have gone as one of the other-worlders from Phantasm!)

  2. The red queen from Alice in Wonderland

  3. A life-sized red M&M! It’s weird how red is becoming a theme here…

  4. Uggghhh. When I was a kid we made all of our costumes, which is okay, but most of the time my mom thought it would be fun if we went as hobos or bums, so that is how we were dressed. There was never any superman or batman or really any cool costumes. When one neighbor asked, ‘let me guess, a hobo?’ I stopped going trick or treating. It sucked. So, I guess I probably shouldn’t have commented on this one, seeing how I really don’t have a favorite costume from when I was a kid.
